 Ode to the Library

Library, oh library, how I love thee,

Library, oh library, my favorite place to be!

A smiling librarian, there to say “welcome.”

Pointing to the books, she says I can pick some.

Oh the choices I have before me!

I want to read all the books thatI see!

Books are stacked to the ceiling from the floor.

I read and read, but still want more!

I learn everything I never thought I’d know,

But then the bell rings and I have to go.

So I’ll check out a book and take it home.

A piece of the library is now my very own.

Library, oh library, how I love thee,

Library, oh library, my favorite place to be!
